About
The short version: CODEDNA is a technology + biology company. The slightly longer version is below.
The company
Two disciplines, one company
CODEDNA happens where software, computation, and engineering meet living systems — in their measurement, in their data, and in the laboratory.
The company is deliberately small and deliberately early. Its offering, if any, is still being defined. What exists today is a point of view, a discipline, and a decision to work where two fields refuse to stay separate.
The name
CODE plus DNA
The name is the concatenation. Code is our home discipline — software understood as precision, structure, and method. DNA stands for the biological half — living systems, measured and engineered. The name binds the two without pretending they are the same thing.
Why the seam
Biology became a data problem
Biology now produces measurements at a scale that software was built for, and computation has become a way to work on living systems directly. Neither field finishes the job on its own.
The instruments, protocols, and code that connect them are some of the least polished parts of modern science — and some of the most consequential.
Mission and manner
Measured before announced
Our direction: to make working on biological systems with code as ordinary as working on systems of any other kind.
In manner: rigor from engineering, patience from biology, and work that is measured before it is announced.
Current status
Where we are right now
CODEDNA is in an exploratory phase. There is no polished offering to announce, no roadmap to sell, and no capability claimed that has not been demonstrated.
As the direction firms up, this site will be the first place it shows.
